Over the past several years, this simple, yet delicious, recipe has become a family favorite. What separates these tacos from others is the flavorful sauce. Its tanginess completes the dish and really brings out the flavor of the salmon. With a very short prep and cook time, these tacos are the perfect dish for any chef, no matter their experience level.
Salmon Tacos
Servings: 12 small tacos
Ingredients
- 1 Full salmon filet
- 1 Head of romane lettuce
- 2 large Tomatoes
- 12 small Flour tortillas
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Pepper
- ½ lime Can also use 1 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tsp Dill
Sauce
- 1 tbsp Whole milk
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Fresh cilantro
- 1 Green onion stock
- 2 Limes Could also use 4 tbsp lime juice
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° on roast
- Prepare salmon filet with olive oil, salt, pepper, dill, and lime juice on a baking sheet lined with tin foil
- Cook salmon for 15 minutes depending on the thickness
- Cut lettuce thinly and dice tomatoes
- Microwave tortillas for 5 seconds to soften them
- Assemble tacos in the following order: lettuce, tomatoes, salmon, sauce
Sauce
- In a small to medium-sized bowl, add milk, mayonnaise, and lime juice
- Dice the cilantro, green onion, and garlic and add
- Add salt and pepper and mix
- Sauce should be between thick and runny
- Add lime juice, salt, and pepper to your liking – measurements don't have to be exact
